Meet Mortimer!! He's the kind of mouse that loves to dance!! He desperately wants a family of his own to sing and dance with him! He's a tad shy until you get to know him... He is lovingly stabbed hundreds and hundreds of times for you by me, Kenya at Flomop Studio... He is 100% sheep's wool felted over a wire armature to make him poseable and free-standing! He has glass beaded eyes and is anxiously awaiting his new home!
PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS A MADE-TO-ORDER ITEM! The little mouse in the photos above has already been adopted, but I will make you a little mouse of your very own that will be very similar to this one!!
Mortimer is a needle-felted fiber sculpture... for anyone not familiar with needle felting, it is a process where bits of sheep's wool are poked hundreds of times by single barbed needles until the fibers begin to bind together, at which point, they become sculptable! There is no pattern... each one is unique and never identical to any other! Creating these little critters is definitely a labor of love!!
This little guy measures just a tad over 4 1/2 inches tall and is just as sweet as can be...
Mortimer is a fiber art collectible and is not intended for young children, since he does have a wire armature inside.
